Saturday we kicked off the Ivy League Conference in New York City playing the Columbia Lions. This would stand as a great test for us as we can show the world as well as our fans and our haters, that we are the real deal and ready to repeat and get that second ring.
We get out the gates very slow, well more sloppy then slow, with a flurry of turnovers and missed shots that on any regular day we would make. Shoot anyone could make a lay-up well not on this particular day for this particular half, we were missing everything. But we managed to keep it close with only being down 4 at the end of the half.
After a very calming but riviting speech from Coach D letting us know that people know we are good, they are going to play their best when they play us because they are trying to prove that they are the better team, and we need to be ready to do what it takes to hold down our top spot. With that said we went out there and handled business. beating them 71 - 59. 7 game winning streak, 1 - 0 in conference its a beautiful thing.
